A higher-than-normal amount of chocolate and eggs and a bit less sugar make these brownies fudgy, intensely chocolately, and not too sweet. This is our all-time favorite brownie recipe.
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, cut into bits
- 4 ounces unsweetened chocolate, coarsely chopped
- 1 2/3 cups sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
